Milk and Honey
Growing up in a strongly evangelical culture, biblical stories were captivating in my imagination as a child. Both Old and New Testaments have pertinent stories involving the desert, which portray the landscape as a place of spiritual desolation. As a queer person, these photographs explore that metaphor, ultimately challenging the idea of a spiritual desert and embracing the beauty of an eco system outside an oasis of the Land of Milk and Honey. This work is currently in conversation with "Blood, Creosote".
